Review of Grana silk shirt

Last week I bought a black silk shirt from Grana, a local Hong Kong brand that specialises in Peruvian Pima cotton, Chinese silk tops, and Japanese denim jeans.

FYI if you'd like to make a purchase from them, use this referral link for 10% off!

Having visited their popup shop last weekend, I knew that I was buying a decent quality silk shirt at an affordable price of HK$349 (US$45). Plus given it was a special event, they threw in free delivery, and I got the shirt delivered straight to the office two days after putting through my order online.

Black silk shirt: Grana.

Bag: Kate Spade.
Ring: Tiffany & Co.
Necklace: Oroton.
Glasses: Prada.
Heels: Nude.
I've become a big fan of silk shirts, ever since I bought the white silk shirt below from Zara Women, which cost around HK$399 (around US$50). While I love the light texture of the fabric (which is perfect for hot weather - including my impromptu business trip to Vietnam in the middle of Summer), the stitching has started to come apart and it won't be long before the seams rip completely.

Although the Grana shirt is made in China and the Zara one is made in Portugal, the Grana shirt is a bit thicker (without being too heavy) and feels much more durable.

This is NOT a sponsored post and we don't have any relationship with Grana, but if you'd like 10% off your purchase and would be happy for us to have a referral fee, please use this link.

  1. The silk shirts are a comfortable fit, so go for your normal size. I'm wearing an XS and it's not tight at all.
  2. On the otherhand, the silk tanks are a loose fit, so if you're petite, you may want to wear a tight tank or boob tube underneath so any gaps in the fitting don't expose your bra.
  3. Grana doesn't have a physical store, so you need to make your purchase online. If you feel the need to try before you buy, follow them on Facebook so you can find out when they have popup stores. (2015 Update: Grana now does have a physical store on Hollywood Road.)
